Every couple goes through rough patches — but when communication breaks down and emotional distance grows, it can feel overwhelming. If you’re longing for the closeness you once shared and struggling to find the right words to reconnect, you’re not alone.
Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) is a proven, research-backed approach that helps couples rebuild trust, improve communication, and rediscover a deeper sense of intimacy and satisfaction in their relationship.
Whether you’re navigating ongoing conflict, emotional withdrawal, or simply feeling “stuck,” EFT offers a clear path forward — one rooted in understanding your emotional patterns and transforming the way you connect with your partner.
Taking the first step toward feeling better is often the hardest part. I’m here to make it a little easier. Reach out today to schedule a free consultation — no pressure, just a conversation.
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Struggling With OCD? You Don’t Have to Face It Alone.
Living with OCD can feel exhausting and isolating. The symptoms may come and go — but when they’re present, they can take over, making even everyday tasks feel overwhelming. You might find yourself asking:
“Why do I keep having these thoughts?”
“Why do I feel like I have to do this?”
“Will it always be this way?”
These experiences are more common than you think — and more importantly, effective, evidence-based treatment is available.
How Therapy Can Help
I offer two highly effective, research-backed approaches to treating OCD:
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is considered the gold standard in OCD treatment. By gradually facing feared situations without engaging in compulsions, you can break the cycle that keeps OCD in control — and reclaim your life.
Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT) is an innovative approach that targets OCD at its root. Rather than focusing solely on feared outcomes, I-CBT helps you understand why your mind generates obsessional doubts in the first place — empowering you to challenge them with confidence and clarity.
These approaches offer two different paths to relief — each will be discussed in more detail, and together we will choose which one is best for you.
Not sure if therapy is right for you? That’s exactly what a consultation is for. Reach out today — we’ll answer your questions, learn about your needs, and figure out the best path forward. Together.
With over 14 years of experience, I know that the most important part of therapy isn’t a degree on the wall or a list of credentials — it’s connection. For those who may be wondering, not to worry, I do have the degree and the credentials. Each specialty I offer reflects not only advanced training and continuing education, but a genuine passion for the work. These are areas I have chosen intentionally — because I believe deeply in their ability to create meaningful change.
Every time I meet someone new, I am reminded of how much courage it takes to reach out for support. That moment never gets old, and I never take it for granted.
I believe that finding the right therapist is everything. It’s not just about expertise — it’s about feeling safe, understood, and genuinely comfortable with the person sitting across from you. When that fit is right, real change becomes possible.
I invite you to explore my approach and areas of specialty to get a sense of who I am and how I work. And if you have questions, or simply want to talk about whether we might be a good fit — please don’t hesitate to reach out. The consultation costs nothing, and it could be the one that changes everything.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you accept insurance?
A: I work private pay only, which means no insurance is billed directly. However, I provide superbills after each session that you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Many clients have been able to recover a significant portion of fees this way. I’m happy to discuss this during our free consultation.
Q: What is ERP, and is it effective for OCD?
A: ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) is the gold-standard, evidence-based treatment for OCD, supported by decades of clinical research. It works by gradually exposing you to feared thoughts or situations while resisting the urge to perform compulsions. Most clients begin to notice meaningful change within weeks. I also offer Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT), which targets the faulty reasoning behind obsessional doubt. Both approaches are highly effective, and it is an individual preference which one you prefer, I will explain both in more detail, and provide recommendations once I get to know you.
Q: Do you offer telehealth sessions?
A: Yes. I offer telehealth sessions throughout all of Connecticut and all of New York State. I am licensed as an LCSW in both CT and NY. In-person sessions are available at my Ridgefield, CT office, which is conveniently located near the Westchester County border — easily accessible from Armonk, Bedford, Pound Ridge, North Salem, Katonah, and surrounding towns. Connecticut towns that are able to easily access the office include Wilton, Weston, Redding, New Canaan, Darien, Westport, Greenwich, Stamford, Norwalk, Bethel, Brookfield, Monroe, Newtown, Danbury, New Milford, Southbury, Easton, Weston and Monroe.
Q: What types of OCD do you treat?
A: I work with all presentations of OCD in adults, including Contamination OCD, Harm OCD, Pure O, Religious/Moral Scrupulosity, Relationship OCD (ROCD), Health OCD, Existential OCD, and have met with individuals that have other forms of OCD as well. If you’ve been struggling with intrusive thoughts that feel impossible to shake and rituals or avoidance that have interfered with your functioning, I’d encourage you to reach out.
Q: How is Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT) different from ERP?
A: ERP works by breaking the compulsion cycle through exposure. I-CBT works by targeting the reasoning process that makes obsessional doubts feel so convincing in the first place — specifically, why your mind treats an unlikely possibility as a near-certainty. I tailor treatment to each client and am familiar with both approaches.
Q: Do you work with couples where one partner has OCD?
A: Yes, and this is more common than many people realize. OCD can significantly affect relationship dynamics — through reassurance-seeking, avoidance that limits shared activities, or the strain of one partner carrying the weight of another’s anxiety. I work with both individual OCD treatment and couples therapy, which puts me in a unique position to help couples navigate this. I’d recommend starting with a consultation to discuss the best approach for your situation.
Q: Where is your office located and how far do clients travel to see you?
A: My office is located in Ridgefield, CT, just minutes from the New York state border. I regularly see clients in person from Wilton, New Canaan, Westport, Darien, Greenwich, and across Fairfield County, as well as from Westchester County towns including Armonk, Bedford, Pound Ridge, North Salem, and Katonah. For clients elsewhere in Connecticut or New York, telehealth sessions are available.
Q: How do I get started?
A: The easiest first step is to email with any questions, or to set up a free 15-minute phone consultation. There’s no commitment — it’s simply a chance to talk about what’s going on and see if we’re a good fit. You can reach me at 203-694-0628 or through the contact form below. I typically respond within one to two business days.
